Our history

Esskå – a sustainable history since 1958

Esskå was founded in 1958 by Stig (Lill-Oskar) Karlsson in Långaryd. The name Esskå comes from Stig Karlsson's initials, which in Småland dialect becomes "Ess Kå". Stig, our adventurous salesman, traveled around selling everything from staples and small stainless parts to the electrical industry, using leftover sheet metal as raw material – an innovative solution even then! One of his own inventions, the "Stickan" tube hugger, quickly became popular with customers.
